Unsupported features and usage
Running under Virtual Machine Running MTPdrive under a Virtual Machine is not supported.
Sharing the mapped drive over network The PTPdrive does not support sharing the PTPdrive-mapped drives over the network.
Write access The PTPdrive does not support writing to the PTPdrive-mapped drives. This is a PTP protocol restriction in general.

Try MTPdrive which uses different device access method and where this works (if the device supports it).
PTPdrive is not compatible with MTPdrive The PTPdrive is not compatible with the MTPdrive and thus they cannot be installed together on one computer.
Direct access to device's raw filesystem The PTPdrive provides access to the files/directories on a device through "virtual" filesystem, it cannot access device's raw filesystem directly. For this reason it cannot be used by any recovery software requiring access to the device's sectors directly.

Known issues
Accessing videos in Apple devices Movies/videos cannot be accessed via the PTPdrive because the Windows device driver for Apple devices does not publish them. This is not a PTPdrive restriction, the Microsoft Windows simply does not know about them.

Try MTPdrive which uses different device access method and where this works.
